Please reach me at 810-488-0060 or smiggsgenealogy@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The years of experience researching allows me to understand where and how people are connected. Using your DNA, combined with years of experience in this field, allows me to see things in your DNA results that may not make sense to others.
Each clients' needs are different, therefore the costs vary by the depth of research required to solve your question. However, based upon experience, ten hours of research is the typical time length that it takes per client project. I have packages that begin at $50 an hour for that 10 hour span. This includes 10 hours of research, with a written report. For more information, please call 810-488-0060, or email smiggsgenealogy@yahoo.com.
Making connections to other people from a client's tested DNA depends on how many relatives of that person have had their DNA tested. Each year more and more people are testing, so it is getting easier and takes less time to identify relatives.
For the purposes of identifying unknown ancestors, the most used DNA testing site is AncestryDNA. However, if you have already tested with MyHeritage, 23andMe, or FamilyTreeDNA, these results still allow me to work for you!
First contact me at 810-488-0060 or smiggsgenealogy@yahoo.com so that we may discuss your specific needs. You can ask me any questions at this time, and I'll explain how the process works, if I believe your quest is something that can be solved, how long it might take, and the cost involved.
Sometimes a person is needing to locate someone who is still living, such as a biological parent. I solve these very personal answers for the 95% of my clients, however there is no guarantee that every project can be solved.
What happens in this case is that I give each of my clients all of the information I discovered during my research. This includes any relatives or ancestors that have been identified in a full, detailed report. This information can be used to reach out to any living relatives to see if they can offer additional help.
I do promise my clients that they will learn far more about themselves and the family they are wanting to identify than they knew before. This is my promise!
