My name is Cheri Smith-Smigielski, and I have been a
researcher for over 30 years. I began biological family
location services in the early 2000's, and have been
helping my clients locate their family members ever since.
For most, it's an emotional journey, requiring someone
who understands and can be trusted to accompany
them through it.
Today, the opportunity to use DNA as a tool for
finding and confirming biological relationships, has
made the process of locating family members
much faster and more efficient. And I have had
the pleasure of connecting many family members.
I have helped over 50 clients to connect to their birth families!!

Since I was a child, I always wanted to know more about where I came from. Not only was my mother adopted, she was also an only child. Something about that always bothered me, and I though that finding her biological family would change all that.
My mother's parents, my grandparents, were the most amazing people I ever knew. But, they were in their forties when my mom was born, and they left us while I was still in my twenties.
As my mother's adoption was private, the documents they left behind told us the name of her mother.
This was my experience uncovering an adoption story. And, it was my own! Or my mother's, at least.
Since that time, I have not only located numerous others' biological family, but eventually ran into two of my own. Again!
DNA testing sure can expose some things! And it did for both my brother, and my paternal grandfather, both finding out that the father's they believed were biological, actually weren't.
What do you think happened next?? You guessed it. I solved those too.
I love to help people solve their most intimate and personal questions. Who they are. Where they came from. What
happened and how did it happen that way? Do they
have brothers or sisters?
These are the questions I solve every day. Let me help you too!
